Before You Start

This integration works with the Visual Quiz Builder app. So, be sure to have it installed prior to enabling the integration.

Setup Process

• Firstly, create an API key.

  a. To do this click on your brand name in the top right corner -> Store settings:

b. Click on the 'API keys' section:

c. Then click the 'Create API Key' button:

d. Enter the name of your API key, keep default settings and click 'Save':

• Then proceed to Integrations > Omnisend in your Visual Quiz Builder dashboard and paste the private API key into the corresponding field. Note that you need to be on the Personalize or Flywheel plans of Visual Quiz Builder to complete this integration.

  

What Quiz Data is Sent to Omnisend

Visual Quiz Builder sends three types of events to Omnisend – Start, Answer and Complete.

• The “Answer” event has specific question and answer properties which can be used for segmenting users.
• Attached to the “Complete” event, Visual Quiz Builder will send recommendation data. This event can be used to trigger email flows of recommended products to quiz takers. This includes the recommendation_url which is the URL of the result page containing the product recommendations they were suggested.
• Visual Quiz Builder also passes quiz interactions attached to the quiz taker’s email. These can be found by going into the profile of the quiz taker (from the Email tab) and allow the merchant to send personalized email templates to different segments within the same email flow.
